In 2nd stage of Europa League Qualfications we have a match between Kazahstanian side Irtyh Pavlodar and Serbian Crvena Zvezda. For kazahstani squad which qualified by finishing third last season this is 4th time in last 7 years that they managed to qualify for Europe and 3rd time in a row to participate in 2nd round. On other hand Zvezda is far from their glory days (they won Champions League back in 1991) and are currently 2nd strongest team in Serbia.
Zvezda is stronger squad and should advance even tho Kazahstanian football is imrpoving each season, but I honesly dont see them winning and scoring big in Pavlodar. If we look at Kazahstani squad we can see few solid foreign players (as in every team) and few home grown internationals. Irthy is average team from that part of world which have slow paced games with not many goals. In those 4 previously mentioned seasons in Euope they played 12 games and only in one 3 goals were scored (2-1 win vs Haladas) and in their respective league results are similar with 2.15 goals scored in their games (scoring 1.15 and conceding 1 goal per game).
Their only advantage on Serbian side is that they are in the middle of their season while their opponent just started and that is best shown by match in which Maltese squad Floriana scored 3 goals, but I can not see this game even similar to this one becuase Foriana is attack oriented team while Irtyh is based on defense and counter.
